Early 1950s Indigenous Tribal Woman

Early 1950s Indigenous Tribal Woman

12.00

A lovely small fetish doll produced in the early 1950s of a female indigenous tribal woman carrying a child on her back. She is wearing real animal fur and a checked linen top which also doubles as a child carrier. Red, yellow and white beads adorn her neck and ankles. She stands approx 11cm in height. These little vintage collectors dollies were once souvenirs from distant shores. Our modern world has deemed these dollies politically incorrect and of course times and tastes change. I personally find them great totems for ancestor worship and spirit communication and they are getting increasingly more difficult to find. Please note this is not a child’s toy but a magical item that demands respect.
