Jormungand Serpent Beast

Jormungand Serpent Beast

A stunning snake, hand carved from wood. This is a great addition for folks interested in folklore and mythology. Now is it the Lampton Worm a legend from County Durham in North East England and dramatised by Bram stoker in Lair of the white worm and famously brought to the screen by Ken Russell or is it indeed Jormungand the great snake of Norse Viking Mythology or does it have an Aztec influence? What ever the original designer and carver had in mind we shall never rightly know. This is a very high quality item. This object d’art is carved from a single piece of substantially heavy wood. Height approx 41cm width approx 19cm
